About the artist
Born and educated in Athens, Greece, Lena Papapanagiotou trained in painting and printmaking at the Athens School of Fine Arts and has been active as an artist since 1982.
She has taken part in several group exhibitions and has held one- woman shows in Athens, Crete, Sheffield and London. Her paintings are in private collections in Greece, England, Australia and the U.S.A.
Since 1994 she has lived in Sheffield, and works at Hangingwater Studios, where she teaches art classes and takes part in the OPEN UP studio events. She is a member of the Hellenic Chambers of Fine Arts and of the Yorkshire Artspace Society. |
